MISO
Large-load tariff for data centers: what is on file, the terms the filings state, and where each fact comes from. Terms a filing does not state are marked, never guessed.

Applies atLoads above 200 MW paired with generation holding a firm offtake agreement in the same MISO local resource zone (as proposed)
What the filing saysPENDING at FERC. Reported (Utility Dive, Ethan Howland, Oct 26, 2026; FERC filing itself not read): MISO proposed the Large Load Addition Resource Study (LARS), a 120-day fast-track combined interconnection study for large loads above 200 MW paired with generation (holding a firm offtake agreement) in the same MISO local resource zone, open only to MISO's transmission customers -- mainly its vertically integrated load-serving utilities. MISO says it responds partly to FERC's mid-June 2026 finding that MISO's large-load rules were inadequate. Supporting: Duke Energy Indiana, Entergy utilities, Cleco Power and other MISO transmission owners (who want it made permanent, citing 15 years of regulatory/financial certainty); the Data Center Coalition supports it generally but objects to load-serving-entity-only access. Opposing: the Organization of MISO States (OMS) says a majority of its members have 'significant concerns,' backed by 11 state commissions; ratepayer advocates for six states, Google, and a coalition including the Sierra Club and NRDC oppose it, chiefly over transmission cost-shifting to existing customers. Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi's commissions voted against OMS's critical comments and filed in support of MISO's plan instead. MISO has said it will file a separate cost-allocation framework for LARS projects; Google says that framework's details remain open questions FERC cannot assume away. No FERC ruling found as of this research.
