Applies at50 MW or more at a single facility, or 75 MW or more in aggregate at 69 kV or above within a 10-mile radius
What the filing saysPA PUC approved the rate settlement in Docket R-2025-3057164 on June 4, 2026; compliance tariff for service on and after July 1, 2026. Applies to customers whose service began on or after Oct 1, 2025. Every LP-6 customer signs an Electric Service Agreement (ESA) and takes transmission-level service (69 kV or above). Initial term at least 10 years, with a load ramp of up to 5 years. Pay the greater of actual peak demand or 80% of the ramp schedule until the customer has paid transmission revenue equal to its Rate Base Security Obligation; after that, 80% for years 1-5 and 50% for years 6-10. A voluntary interruptible option cuts those minimums to 60% and 30%. Security (letter of credit, parent guarantee or similar) equals the cost of upgrades needed to serve the customer. Exit fee is the larger of the remaining minimum-load obligation or the remaining Rate Base Security Obligation. Up-front construction payments (CIAC) for directly assigned upgrades. A single facility of 50 to 75 MW with no transmission network upgrades may petition to stay on Rate LP-5. These terms come from the settlement terms quoted in the Commission's recommended decision; the final compliance tariff sheet was not read.
