Mississippi Power and Entergy Mississippi (Mississippi), special contracts for data centers
Large-load tariff for data centers: what is on file, the terms the filings state, and where each fact comes from. Terms a filing does not state are marked, never guessed.
StatusLaw or process only Last reviewed 2026-10-14
Applies atNo published threshold; contracts are negotiated (EEI refers to a Mississippi Power Rule 27)
What the filing saysLOWER CONFIDENCE. Mississippi has no published large-load tariff in the sources found. Contracts are negotiated, and a 2024 special-session law (SB 2001) narrowed the PSC's normal oversight of new generation for large projects. Mississippi Power's agreement with Compass Datacenters (500 MW, eight data centers over eight years) was approved by the PSC. Terms were not found. Consumer advocates say large-load contract terms have been withheld.
